Current Openings:

Field Operator I

Under frequent supervision, locates, inspects, maintains, installs and repairs water and sewer lines to ensure quality service to BJWSA customers. Performs work in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and standards of quality and safety. An entry-level position in the multi-skilled Field Operations workforce. Reports to the Field Operations Supervisor.

Requirements:

Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Prefer a minimum of one (1) year related experience.
  • Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) license with tanker endorsement within six (6) months of date of hire.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Class “D” Water Distribution License and a Class “D” Collection System license within two (2) years of date of hire or promotion. Must show progression towards required licensure after one (1) year.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Starting Salary: $14.15 per hour + great benefits package
