Dr. William (Bill) Singleton is a retired educator with more than 33 years of serving in various capacities in Jasper County School System. He served as vice principal, principal, supervisor, director and school district superintendent. Since retirement, Dr. Singleton continues to serve the Lowcountry through various volunteer organizations: Board Member Beaufort-Jasper Water & Sewer Authority since 2010; Chairman Beaufort Fund representing Costal Community Foundation of the Lowcountry; Charter Member of Polaris Tech Charter School; and Secretary of Dedicated Men of Jasper County.
Dr. Singleton is a life-long resident of Jasper County who has dedicated his entire career to improving the educational system. He received his Doctorate in Educational Administration from South Carolina State University.
